Scratch Restaurants was started when Chefs Phillip and Margarita Lee decided that they wanted to put their personal spin on what a restaurant concept could be.  Although each of their concepts remain independent and unique to one another, the constant thread that ties all of Scratch Restaurants together is their dedication to the artisanal "from scratch" approach to hospitality. 

 

The Monarch

The Monarch pays tribute to the treasures of the Central Coast with truly local cooking built around a rustic, wood-burning hearth in an elegant, all-day dining room and bar. Harvesting a collection of the season’s best vegetables, fruits, herbs, seafood, and meats – paired with the region’s best wines – Chef Phillip Frankland Lee helms the kitchen’s arcadian approach to living off the land. The Monarch at the Montecito Inn draws inspiration from the culinary gems dotting Europe’s countryside, beckoning locals and faraway travelers with the lure of a gastronomic road trip.

Sushi|Bar Montecito is Chef Phillip Frankland Lee’s Omakase Restaurant that serves up a whimsy of its namesake fare in 17 courses. Behind the door lies an intimate counter housing 10 prized seats where you will sit right up to the chef’s cutting boards. Relax and enjoy as the chefs prepare a playful reverie on new wave nigiri and other delicacies from both land and sea in a free form interpretive take on the traditional sushi counter experience where you can expect unexpected riffs on beloved standards.

The Sushi|Bar omakase menu is $110 per person. This experience starts 30 minutes prior to the scheduled seating time with a complimentary welcome cocktail in the lobby. The deposit secures your booking and is fully applied to your bill.

Silver Bough

Thursday - Sunday

1 seating per evening at 6:30pm

 

The Silver Bough is a fine-dining experience like no other from the minds of Chefs Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas Lee. Drawing Inspiration from the tradition of storytelling of ancient Celtic folklore, The duo strives to excite diners over an 18-course journey with curated pairings that feature the best ingredients and vintners from around the world.

Your experience will start at 6:30pm by checking in with the front desk at the Montecito Inn, where you will be directed by the hotel staff to our concierge who will be equipped, drink in hand, ready to welcome you to The Silver Bough. 

At 7pm, you and your guest(s) will be led into a dimly lit room where the story of The Silver Bough will begin. The Story unfolds over multiple courses utilizing some of the most rare and prized ingredients from around the world, each paired with top tier wines and spirits. Please arrive on time, as the 8 seat dinner is communal and starts promptly at 7pm.
