Experienced tour guides will meet you at the selected local beach of the day, where your horse will be waiting and saddled up, ready to mosey across sandy shores. Rides are scheduled relative to your needs and the local tide charts, in order to ensure the very best experience.
Sunrise rides offer the most peaceful experience as the first rays of sunlight touch the Pacific. Midday rides, under what are mostly clear blue skies throughout the year, offer pristine views of the California Coast and Santa Barbara Channel. Sunset rides offer the romance that Santa Barbara is known for, and on just the right night, a beautiful display of color, above the deep blue sea. This is an unforgettable experience for a romantic rendezvous, proposal, anniversary, birthday, or family adventure.
Each horse is trained precisely for trail ride tours, as well as packing trips, so safety is managed at every level. Tour guides will provide wine glasses, if you wish to bring a bottle of wine along for the ride. Freshly made lunch is also available for an additional charge. Your journey will last approximately two hours; feel free to ride at your own pace.
The Concierge at The Montecito Inn will be delighted to arrange your tour, and our Guest Services staff will gladly provide you with beach towels, in case you wish to stay and play at the beach after the horses have shown you around. Should the occasion be a romantic one, please inquire with our Guest Services staff about our selection of wines and champagnes…there likely won't be a saloon for miles.
